Rail-fan Pictures of Greenville Junction Depot

When the Grand Trunk Railway decided to build the first international railway in North America it started construction from both ends and met near Island Pond, VT in 1853. It would for a long time be a part of a rail to ship world wide network.

The current station was built in 1904 and has survived the merger of the Grand Trunk into the Canadian National System, the subsequent turnout into the Saint Lawrence and Atlantic, and the Genesee & Wyoming buyout. It is currently owned by the Community National Bank. You can find it at 23 E Brighton Rd, U.S. Route 105, Island Pond, VT 05846 (coordinates 44°48'55.3"N 71°52'50.3"W).
